Automatic Shut-off
The new generation IV Styler( MK4 ) has been fitted with a comprehensive safety feature to prevent you from accidentally leaving your hair straighteners on when unattended. 15 minutes after being turned on, the styler will "beep" to announce that it is entering "cool down" mode. It will continue to "beep" during this phase until it is completely cool after a further 15 minutes (30 minutes after being turned on), a which point it will turn itself off. Important Note: If you are still using your new generation IV Styler when it enters "cool down" mode, simply switch them off and then on to reset the timer.
I've had this iron for almost four years, and it still works wonderfully. I have naturally wavy hair, but once ironed with the chi hair straightener, it is perfectly straight! Hopefully it won't break on me anytime soon (like the CHI did), but once it does, I will repurchase. Worth the money! Best buy I've ever made!

I was a little skeptical at first because people said that they had really curly frizzy hair. But when i saw their pictures their hair was nothing compared to mine. Finally, I just decided to buy it, and it was an awesome decision. If it worked on my huge wild hair, it can work on anyones. I am obsessed with straightened hair, if it is not perfectly flat and straight with a little volume, then the straightener is not good enough. This straightener is perfect, so buy it.

I adore the ghd flat iron! My hair is naturally fairly straight but it breaks very easily and I have little hairs framing my face the refuse to stay straight. I used to have to straighten four times a day to keep my hair looking straight. With the Sedu it stays for day and cause a lot less damage. It's expensive but it is worth it!

I have been straightening my hair for 7 years. I've tried about EVERYTHING. From those cheap straighteners at Walmart to Chi's. I thought Chi was the best until a year passed and it died. I did my research and asked for the ghd hair for Christmas. When I tried it out, it was soo much better than the Chi. It felt really cheap but when I used it, it was great! It's so much lighter then the Chi and therefor makes it easier to straighten my hair. My hair is VERY thick and curly and takes 1 hour to straighten with the ghd hair. The Chi took 2 1/2 hours.

I was very skeptical when I purchased this flat iron. I used the Chi Silk Infusion and then used the flat iron. The results were amazing. My hair was soooo silky smooth. It remained smooth after sleeping on it too. I recommend this item to all in question. The reason I voted this as a 4 star: I wish it would stand up straight versus having to lean it over when not in use or when sectioning hair.
