I bought the ghd hair straighteners after reading all the reviews. I am a professional stylist and have tried many diffrent flat irons for myself and my clients. This is one pretty good but I found it didn't really smooth the ends very well. It kinda left them feeling burnt and rough instead of smooth and silky. I also found you need the hair slips out of place while trying to straighten. I've also tried this on many diffrent hair types, again it's a good basic flat iron but definitly not the best out there for getting super smooth silky results.

At first I was hesitant about purchasing this because of the price, but after reading the reviews, I decided to take the chance and buy it and I'm happy that I did. I have thick curly medium length hair that used to take about 40 minutes to straighten. Now, with this straightener, it takes about 10 minutes and my hair stays straight throughout the day. This product is well worth the money and I recommend it to everyone I know

i used the ghd flat iron and it is 100 times better than the other corioliss and iso flat irons i was using. it really straightened my hair out beautifully.

I bought this December of 07 and I love it. =) I was really nervous at first because it was my first straightener, and I was unsure on spending such a large amount.. especially after reading some of the negative feedback about how it died in just a few months.. It's nearly September of '08 and it's still working as new. =) I have thick hair and it takes me about.. maybe 10 minutes to straighten my hair, 15 at the most which is rare.

Well, i got my ghd hair about a month ago (it came in about 2 days...folica is great abouting shipping!). And it works alot better than my old conair. My conair would leave my hair dry and not very straight. It was also hard to straighten with. my sedu is not like that at all. I can do it in 12 minutes (compared to about 30) in the morning if i oversleep. I ususally spend about 15-20 though (to get it super sleek). the sedu leaves the body of my hair amazingly soft...but it has given quite a few split ends. Actually more than my conair gave me. BUT i dont use a heat protection spray so that may be why... Other than that it is perfect in every way. Although you need to use a product after it (i use Fekkai glossing cream and John Frieda secret weapon) or it might become quite poofy. So, all in all i would say definetly buy the sedu. you wont regret it! just get trims often. haha.

I read everyone's reviews and trusted that this many people could not be wrong -- and I was right! It took me forever to buy a real good straightener, I was running through the Hot Tools and Helen of Troy ones like once a year, and I finally found this one. It works so fast, it used to take me over an hour to blowdry and straighten my hair, and now, I can let my hair airdry and straighten it in maximum ten minutes! Thanks to all the other reviewers for guiding me in the right direction, this tool will smooth and straighten your hair in no time. Thanks E8800!
